ESPM represents a unique integration of the biological, physical
and social sciences in a single multidisciplinary department with a
focus on the environment. Through collaboration with postdoctoral
scholars, visiting scientists, and both graduate and undergraduate

This research integrates knowledge across scales of organization
from chemical to societal and is organized under the rubrics of
five research areas:
• Ecosystem stewardship
